Why B2B Influencers Are the Ultimate Growth Hack for SaaS in 2024?

The biggest lever for product and SaaS launches today is through B2B influencers.

I’ve been preaching the B2B ambassador model heavily over the past 2 years, ever since:

– Google’s Sep 2023 update ruined organic
– LinkedIn’s reach started to drop by 30% or more YoY (2022 and after)
– Other networks turned into virality or videos
– Reddit picked up most of the traffic/noise online

Building products today is easy.

(At least prototyping. I’m yet to challenge anyone trying to scale a Cursor prototype into a $10M – $50M business – good luck with that DIY.)

Marketing is theoretically easy when it comes to execution.

– Need content? Bots can generate
– Need social? AI content + scheduling. Even commenting and replies
– Reddit monitoring? We have Make flows for that running daily

But both of these are failing HARD due to oversaturation.

Brand is the strongest MOAT. And brand = fans and audience.

Closing a deal with a community manager, a B2B speaker, a meetup founder, or a known name in a given ecosystem delivers really strong results.

You need to back it up with value, of course. But this is the shortest path to growth today.

Sponsoring newsletters and podcasts is an intermediate path. It generates stronger results, but not quite. Same goes for event speaking – improves the value added, or the clout, or instilling expertise.

But tapping into established communities works SO WELL. Especially if you work with several of these experts.

If you are a B2B leader working with B2B orgs (ambassador deals, sponsorships, fractional deals), please let me know in the comments. And if you work with some and are open to sharing, tag them below.
