Waymo in 2026: Robo-Cabs Outperforming Humans and Shaping the Future of Urban Mobility

Waymo’s experience today in LA is impressive to say the least, with several rides this week exceeding my own driving skills (and a handful of Uber drivers yoloing on the highway).

This transition will take another decade or two to pick up in more cities/major countries, but I have zero doubts this is already happening, similarly to the 800 Waymos in LA, 1000 in San Francisco, 500 in PHX, and other cities growing with robo cabs able to navigate millions of situations on the road.
