496 million TB of data are being created globally DAILY.
From 64 zettabytes of digital data worldwide in 2020 to 284 zettabytes projected for next year.
AI generating more and more data and cheaper data centers or cloud hosting allowing for more signals and meta information on customer behavior, digital footprint, signal tracking, 2nd party cookies, and other nuances (contributing to more data as we speak).
What we’re observing in the last 2 years is dealing with nearly 10x more data, yet working harder to cut through the noise and find signals that matter. LLMs add an extra layer of complexity: with limited context, RGNs tend to deviate unless you filter early on or provide vector intermediate layers feeding the right intelligence.
As a result:
1. Technology spend as product development has been going down.
2. Investments in data, revenue operations, and automation are consistently going up.
3. The loud digital noise + cheap incumbents increase the total marketing spend (CAC increasing too).
