Seasonality Died in 2020 — And It’s Still Missing in 2025

Seasonality in business was predictable in the 2012-2019 era – not anymore.

Starting with the pandemic.

The first year – 2020 – marking a full circle of fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Local businesses nearly wiped out for months and lockdowns hitting in.

Airlines begging for government funding to survive.

So 2020 and 2021 were adaptation years.

But seasonality hasn’t reverted back yet.

Our last 3 Augusts have been packed with new contracts and high scale. Just signed 3 new ones in July and one yesterday. And Aug of 2023 was a record for the year.

This January was ultra busy, too. Sales, strategy, roadmapping calls back to back from Jan 3.

Year-round seasonality is taking a 5-year hiathus. This is why you see a global adaptation to a regular work year, not a school break for adults we’ve been used to over the 2010s.
