Phones Are for Scrolling, Not Scaling: The Gap Between Gen Z Habits and Business Reality

Gen Z spend an unhealthy amount of time on their phones.

Agents aren’t advanced enough to help you “get the job done”:

❌️ crappy image creation and management (Canva is a mess even with a stylus, let alone DALL-E and the like)

❌️ GPT knowledge doesn’t translate well to folders, docs, turning answers into frameworks and SOPs

❌️ creating workflows with Make or n8n on mobile is rocket science with all the options

❌️ Cursor/Windsurf coding? No version control, database management, deployments

This is why most kids push for social media as the only phone native medium. But it doesn’t work scaling up to B2B/enterprise.

I can’t manage my P&L or pipeline on mobile.
Can’t handle payroll effectively.
Or the recruitment queue.
No process management that works well on mobile.

🤷‍♂️ Anything outside of calls, Slack, and basic email is unquestionable on mobile yet.

Unless agents get to spin up virtual machines and manage my Drive effectively, and workflows are fully voice-controlled with red teams QA’ing and log management, I don’t see the business realm moving forward in a mobile-native context.
