Our first office back in 2010 was not something I would brag about.
That’s how we found the place while looking for an affordable room for continued focus mode and collaboration – an early version of a “co-working space”, being an old 3-bedroom downtown in a building that was erected prior to 1928 (retro photos from the archives showcase the building in its early years).
Two more “startups” inhabiting the two other rooms, with a shared kitchen and a restroom.
15 years later, we don’t work in a Beverley Hills mansion with an infinity pool, but the 10,000 sq. feet floor we’ve been residing in since 2018 is slightly more spacious, providing sufficient meeting space, a fun room, library, meeting rooms, and other amenities.
It’s hard to not be humble starting from scratch – and you get to appreciate a lot more with every incremental step up.
