Facebook Feels More Social Than LinkedIn in 2026

27X more views on Facebook for the same story (plus a ton more engagement)?

I revived my old Facebook account (which had about a dozen posts in the last 8 years).

The only difference is a verbatim translation in Bulgarian. But I ran the same test translating 3 other posts on LinkedIn and they performed pretty much the same way as everything else.

I also have 1/8th of the followers on the other end, and 94% of my views are from non-followers on Meta.

When I’ve been raising the flag since January 2024 in my article here that reach is going down fast, engagement and conversations on Facebook are SURPRISINGLY STRONG.

Not necessarily more civil, or without the troll element. Just far more active.

Facebook appears to be acting as a social “network” while LinkedIn and X have been turning into social “media”, blasting influencers and world leaders and breaking news and announcements. Both have their own strengths, but LI most certainly lost its entire networking element from the 2017-2023 era.

And for a business network, this is unacceptable.
